FAQs

Why does my account status say "pending"?
After you register, your account status will remain "pending" until your email address is verified. Your email address is verified and your account validated once you click on the link in the email you receive from us (this email will come from wbmx@m2omedia.com). You can still earn credits while you are waiting for your account to be validated. You will not, however, be able to claim any prizes or purchase raffle entries until your account status is valid.

I did not receive an email asking me to validate my account. What should I do?
If you did not receive an email from us, please send an email to wbmx.support@m2omedia.com, and we will validate your account for you. In order to ensure that you receive emails from us in the future, please add wbmx@m2omedia.com to your contact list.

What should I do if I'm having trouble logging into my account?
If you're having trouble logging into your account, please try the following solutions:
  • Make sure you are using the correct username and password. If you don't remember your username and/or password, click here, enter your email address, and we'll email it to you.

  • Clear your cache. Cache is a process that keeps track of what you have been doing recently. It saves you processing time when you repeat tasks; but sometimes it gets overloaded. Click here for instructions on how to clear your cache.

  • Internet Explorer users:
Check your security settings. Your internet security settings must be set to "medium". Click here for instructions on checking your security settings.

Check your privacy settings. Your internet privacy settings must be set to "medium". Click here for instructions on how to change your privacy settings.

What is the difference between the Daily Instant Win password and a Bonus Code?
The DAILY INSTANT WIN happens every weekday at 7:20am, 10:20am, 3:20pm and 7:20pm. For each Instant Win password you enter correctly you earn 100 points (you have an opportunity to earn up to 400 Freeloader Points per day). By participating in an Instant Win, you could be entered to win a prize being given away on-air within 60 minutes of the on-air personality reading that hour's Instant Win password. You may also be entered to win a Daily Prize, and a Weekly Prize. In order to be eligible for the hour's Instant Win prize, you must enter the Instant Win password within sixty (60) minutes of the on-air personality reading the Instant Win password on air. You may earn up to 100 Freeloader Points per day for every Instant Win password correctly entered until 11:59pm each day. A BONUS CODE is given out through e-mails and special giveaways and events. Please check when receiving a bonus code to see if there is an expiration date.

How do I earn points/credits?
Go to the Mix 98-5 website and click on the Freeloader link. Enter your username and password in the login box on the left hand side of the page. Once you've logged in, click on one of the categories under Earn Points, located on the menu bar near the top of the page.

How do I use my points to earn Rewards?
There are two ways to earn rewards with your points. You can redeem points for goods and services that are offered in the Mix Mall or you can redeem points for entries into our Raffle Drawings. To access either the Mix Mall or Raffle page, log in and click on one of the categories under Spend Points, located on the menu bar near the top of the page.

Shopping: All prizes on the shopping page are on a first come, first serve basis. The Mix Mall lists all of the available prizes and their associated point value. Once you have earned enough Points to "purchase" the prize of your choice you may "buy" the prize by logging in and visiting the Mix Mall. Then just enter the quantity of the prize you want (please note, some prizes may have a quantity limit of 1 per member), and click "Buy". If you have enough points, haven't exceeded the purchase limit, and inventory is sufficient, a page will come up which confirms your purchase and provides you with instructions on how to claim your prize.

IMPORTANT NOTE: upon making a prize purchase, be sure to print off a copy of your confirmation page.

Up For Grabs Raffles: You can enter any of our raffles as many times as you wish (as long as you have enough points). To purchase an entry into the Up For Grabs raffle of your choice, please visit the Upcoming Up For Grabs page, click on the raffle you'd like to enter, select the number of entries you'd like to purchase, and click the "Purchase Entries" button. Remember, the more entries you have in an Up For Grabs raffle, the better your chances of winning!

I've purchased a prize, how do I claim it?
To claim your prize, follow the instructions on the confirmation page.

If the prize you've purchased requires you to come to the Mix 98-5 Studios to pick it up, please wait for us to contact you by telephone before you come to the station.

If your prize will be mailed out, but you'd rather pick it up at the station, you must call immediately following your purchase otherwise there is no guarantee that it has not already been sent out.

What do I need to play the  Freeloader Program?
The Mix Freeloader program will run on any machine running Internet Explorer 5.0 or Netscape 7.0 or above. You will also need Internet access. The Mix 98-5 Freeloader Program is not supported on Web TV.

Can I join the Mix Freeloader Program if I have a Macintosh computer?
The Mix 98-5 Freeloader Program can be played on any Macintosh running Netscape versions 7.0 and above.
