KCBS-FM GENERAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

How to Enter the Contest:

Contest will take place during the dates and times specified for contest.

To be eligible, listener must fulfill requirements stated in specific contest rules for the contest. Must be at least 21 years old and a resident of the KCBS-FM station service area to participate, unless otherwise noted in contest rules.

KCBS-FM and contest sponsors are not responsible for entries not received due to lost/stolen/postage due mail, or for late/misdirected mail, or for the failure to receive internet due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning or unavailability of any network, hardware or software. KCBS-FM is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals, equipment malfunctions and any other technological difficulties that may prevent an individual from completing his/her telephone call. Illegible/late/incomplete entries will be disqualified. All entries become the property of KCBS-FM and will not be returned. False or deceptive entries or acts will render entrants ineligible.

Eligibility Restrictions:

Employees of KCBS-FM, its corporate parent, subsidiaries and affiliates, their advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations in the Los Angeles metropolitan area and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.

Listeners and anyone in their immediate family household are eligible to win a KCBS-FM contest only once every thirty days. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.

Listeners or members of their immediate family household are eligible to win a prize valued at $600.00 or more only once every six months.

If the station determines that a contestant has intentionally cheated and violated the contest rules, the contestant will be eliminated and will be ineligible for station contesting for one year.

Prizes:

Prizes are as specified in the contest rules. Prize values vary. Approximate retail value of prizes is specified in the contest rules.

Prizes may be subject to restriction and/or availability. 

All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up at the office of KCBS-FM at 5901 Venice Blvd., LA, CA 90034. Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within forty-five days of winning will be forfeited by the winner. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its arrival. KCBS-FM is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash.

Selection of Winners:

Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.

Odds of winning depend on the type of contest held.

Conditions:

Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners may be required to sign an IRS Form 1099 or the equivalent.

By participating in the contest, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material related to this contest, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.

Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, KCBS-FM, in its sole discretion, may require contest winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold KCBS-FM, its corporate licensee, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest.

KCBS-FM reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the contest, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of KCBS-FM, any prize or prize-related event, is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, KCBS-FM reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification.
