THE NEWS1130 INSIDER CLUB RULES

1. Participation

   To participate in the News1130 Insider Club visit http://www.news1130.com/ and sign up as a News1130 Insider. Limit one user account per person. Once signed up as a News1130 Insider you can earn News1130 Credits by visiting the News1130 Web site, logging into News1130 Insider Club and doing any of the following:

   1. Play the Insider of the Day, Bonus Codes, Instant Win Codes, vote in Daily Polls, provide feedback to the station.
   2. Play contests. At various times during the day, News1130 Club Codes, words, or names may be announced on air or posted on the site. These must be entered on line before to earn extra Credits.
   3. News1130 Club Credits may also be earned in a variety of other ways, at the discretion of News1130. Members can tune into News1130 for details on additional ways to accumulate News1130 Credits, or log onto News1130 Insider Club at http://www.news1130.com/. . News1130 reserves the right to alter the ways of earning News1130 Credits at its discretion.

   To become and remain a registered News1130 Insider, you must have Internet access and a valid email account. News1130 is not responsible for a member's inability to: connect to the internet, log into News1130 Insider Club Web Site, gain access to their News1130 Club account or participate in any activity associated with this program, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. News1130 Insider is free and no purchase is necessary.

2. Eligibility

   Participation in News1130 Insider Club is open to all residents of Vancouver, and the Lower Mainland. Also, in order to participate your postal code must begin with "V" or with one of the following sets of digits:

   V7S, V7W, V7V, V7T, V7R, V7P, V7N, V7M, V7L, V7K, V7J, V7H, V7G, V3H, V3E, V6G, V6T, V6R, V6K, V6S, V6N, V6L, V6J, V6M, V6P, V5L, V5V, V5W, V5X, V5K, V5M, V5R, V5S, V5C, V5G, V5H, V5J, V5B, V5A, V5E, V3N, V3J, V3M, V3L, V3K, V3C, V3B, V3Y, V4R, V2W, V1M, V4N, V3R, V3T, V3V, V3W, V3X, V3S, V2Y, V3A, V2Z, V4W, V4X, V4S, V2V, V3G, V2T, V2S, V4P, V4A, V4E, V4C, V4G, V6V, V6W, V6X, V7B, V7C, V7E, V6Y, V7A, V4K, V4M, V4L, V6G, V6E, V6J, V6H, V5Z, V5Y, V5T, V6A, V6B, V6Z, V6C, V5L, V5N, V7X, V7Y, V2X, V5Y, V5I, V5P, V4B

   Those specifically not eligible are full or part-time employees of News1130 or Rogers Broadcasting Ltd. (including former employees and their next of kin), other Vancouver radio station employees and their immediate families, M2O Media, and sponsors featured in the Program.

   1. Participation is expressly limited to one account per person. News1130 Credits are non-transferable and may not be earned in advance. All duplicate accounts or suspected duplicate accounts are subject to cancellation without notification by News1130.
   2. Email addresses may not be shared between players; therefore, each account needs to have a unique, valid email address associated with it.
   3. Accounts which have an excessive number of rejected emails may be automatically locked, preventing the player from accessing News1130 Insider Club until they contact News1130 Insider Club Tech Support and provide an alternate email address. Repeated problems with email delivery to a player may result in permanent suspension of the member's account.

      Members are not authorized to access any other member's account, including entering codes or redeeming News1130 Insider Club Credits for prizes or awards, even if the other member is a family member. Members need to enter codes and play the various News1130 Club games and surveys themselves to legally accumulate News1130 Credits.

   4. No machines, scripts or automated services may be used to access any part of News1130 Insider Club Web site, accumulate any News1130 Credits, bid on prizes and awards, or in any other way participate in this program. Over usage of News1130 Insider Club system resources is not permitted, and are grounds for account suspension or termination at the sole discretion of News1130.
   5. News1130 is NOT responsible for members missing out on News1130 Credits due to, but not limited to, the following: forgotten username and/or password; problems, updates or maintenance which affects News1130 Insider Club at a particular time; internet, browser, server, or computer problems in general; lost codes or coupons; forgotten, incorrectly entered or misspelled codes, etc.
   6. Any News1130 Credits redemption suspected to be an inauthentic copy, or which is made in such a fashion as to not deduct the appropriate News1130 Credits amounts, may be disqualified (not accepted), at the sole discretion of News1130.
   7. The authorized account holder or member is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible by assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.
   8. News1130 reserves the right to disqualify any member from receiving cash or prize award where News1130, at its sole discretion, determines that the member has violated any of these rules, made any misrepresentation in connection with this program, or used any unintended/unannounced means to accumulate or redeem News1130 Insider Club Credits.
   9. Sharing of Bonus Codes numbers, or other News1130 Club Credits earning among members is expressly prohibited. Violations will result in the termination of all violating account(s) and/or forfeiture of all accumulated News1130 Credits.
   10. News1130 reserves the right to use any listener feedback in any way they choose.

3. Prize Awards

   Each item on the Marketplace or Contest pages will be assigned a News1130 Point value. Members may redeem accumulated News1130 Club Credits for free prizes and awards.

   1. All prizes must be picked up at the News1130 office in Vancouver at 2440 Ash Street, Vancouver, BC, V5Z-4J6 unless otherwise specified upon News1130 Point redemption. Please allow two business days for your prize to be processed before picking up your item. Office Hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.and closed on all holidays.
   2. When picking up your prize, you must provide a legal, valid government issued photo ID. The address on your ID must match that of your News1130 Insider. Prizes must be picked-up within 30 business days of purchase unless otherwise specified. Prizes not picked up within 30 business days from the date of purchase will be forfeited and News1130 Credits will not be refunded.
   3. Mailing options are at the sole discretion of News1130 and will only be considered in extreme circumstances, or will be based on the prize size, weight, timeliness, and value. Member is always responsible to keep his/her News1130 Insider Club account up-to-date with current information. If News1130deems that an individual has extreme circumstances and a prize is mailed out, News1130 is not responsible if it is lost, stolen, misdirected, or damaged. The prize will not be replaced with future prizes nor will News1130 Credits be refunded.
   4. Prize winners are responsible for any and all expenses associated with their travel to and from the News1130 offices or other any location(s) associated with claiming a prize or award.
   5. News1130 Insider Club Credits will not be credited or refunded for any reward, item or certificate which a Member claims but does not subsequently use.
   6. Member agrees to provide only true and accurate information to News1130 Insider Club at all times. In conjunction with claiming any item associated with News1130 Insider Club or spending any News1130 Credits for items, Member agrees to verify that all information in their News1130 Club account profile is up-to-date and accurate by providing a valid driver's license or government issued photo ID that substantially matches the information in their profile.
   7. News1130 Club Award items are not transferable. Awards may not be substituted for cash or any other items or merchandise.
   8. All Award claims are subject to verification by News1130 management. All decisions made by News1130 management are final.
   9. Prizes and awards will be awarded and distributed at the discretion of News1130.

4. How to Redeem News1130 Credits / Entries to Receive Prizes

   A validated News1130 Insider redeems News1130 Insider Club Credits by clicking on the "Submit" button for Free Stuff or for Draw entries on News1130 Insider Club Web site. In the event that another member is already in the process of redeeming that particular prize/item, the member who "first" clicked on "Submit" will receive the item/prize.

   In order to receive a prize or reward, winning members must contact News1130 in accordance with instructions provided as part of this program, or provided online in connection with a specific offering, AND comply with the instructions provided by News1130 personnel for verification and deduction of News1130 Credits balances.

   Failure to comply with the instructions may result in disqualification, at the sole discretion of News1130. Any member that has a "winning" bid, and then fails to demonstrate they have the needed News1130 Credits in their account following an audit, will not be entitled to receive the award or prize and, at the discretion of News1130, will have their News1130 Credits balance forfeited.

   Member News1130 Point totals are subject to adjustment, and member accounts are subject to suspension or cancellation, by News1130 for any activity which is in violation of any rules, or which is not in compliance with the intent of the program. News1130 shall be the sole determiner in cases of suspected abuse or violation of News1130 Insider Club rules, and any decision it makes relating to adjustment of News1130 Credits or termination of membership shall be final and binding. Members will be notified of any such adjustments through a posting in the history log (viewable in the Transactions section of My Account in News1130 Insider Club) or through an email sent to the email address in the member's account profile. Should the member disagree with any News1130 Credits adjustment or account suspension, the decision of News1130 is final and the remedy may involve Member withdrawal from the program.

   News1130 makes no representations whatsoever regarding the value, if any, of News1130 Credits earned as a result of participation. News1130 is under no obligation to provide members with any particular number of News1130 Credits earning opportunities or rewards.

5. Conditions

   1. Members may be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of an item. Pursuant to the liability release, Member will agree to hold M2O Media, News1130, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in News1130 Insider Club.
   2. News1130, in it sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of News1130 Web sites, or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify News1130 Insider Club if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
   3. News1130 reserves the right to make changes in the rules of News1130 Insider Club. Notice of any revisions will be posted to this page, so please revisit this page from time to time to ensure that you are aware of any changes to it. You are responsible for reviewing this Policy periodically, and your continued use of News1130 Insider Club website(s) following any modifications to the rules will be conclusively deemed acceptance of any changes.
   4. News1130 reserves the right to substitute an item of equivalent or greater value should an original item awarded to or purchased by a player become unavailable. News1130 Point values associated with any award can be changed or modified at any time. All Awards offered will show quantity available and will be redeemed on a first-come, first-served basis. News1130 reserves the right to limit the quantity a member can buy of any specific Award.
   5. News1130 reserves the right to disqualify any member from receiving a cash or prize award, where News1130, at its sole discretion, determines that the player has misrepresented or used unintended/unannounced means to accumulate News1130 Credits or purchase prizes.
   6. Members may be asked to supply personal information. This information will not be sold to outsiders, but the aggregate information (without identifying players as individuals) will be used for marketing purposes by News1130 and its affiliates in accordance with the Privacy Policy available at http://www.rogers.com/.
   7. News1130 reserves the right to discontinue, suspend or modify this Program at any time, including the termination of all opportunities to use or otherwise redeem accumulated News1130 Insider Club Credits. From time to time News1130 may decrease or zero out News1130 Credits in all News1130 Insider Club accounts. At those times all accounts will either start at zero News1130 Credits or be decreased by an amount or percentage to be determined by News1130 and all unused News1130 Credits will no longer be valid. Members will be notified if and when News1130 Point deduction will take place.
   8. No purchase is necessary. News1130 Insider Club is void where prohibited.
   9. Failure to comply with News1130 Insider Club rules may result in a player's disqualification at the sole discretion of News1130.

NEWS1130 INSIDER OF THE DAY: CONTEST RULES

You and members of your household and/or immediate family (father, mother, son/brother, sister/daughter) must be News1130 Insider Club members to enter any News1130 contest.

The "News1130 Insider of the Day" contest will continue indefinitely. The Monthly Grand prize will be available to be won until December 27, 2009 at which time new prizing details will be announced. The station will announce the close of the contest two weeks prior to its conclusion.

1. To enter the News1130 Insider of the Day contest, go to http://www.news1130.com/ and sign up to become a member of the News1130 Insider Club.
2. Every weekday (excluding holidays) Monday to Friday, at 7:10 a.m., 12:10 p.m., 5:10 p.m. and 8:10 p.m., News1130 will announce an Insider of the Day. Every day, the News1130 Insider of the Day will be different.
3. News1130 Insider Club Members can then go to the Insider Club Monday to Friday between 7:10 a.m. when the first announcement is made, until 11:59pm the same day at http://www.news1130.com/ where there will be 3 (three) names listed. Listeners will be prompted to correctly choose that days Insider of the Day name. You will only get one chance. If you answer correctly, the computer will tell you that you have answered correctly and will automatically reward you with 250 credits. If you answer incorrectly, the computer will tell you that your answer is incorrect and that and you can try again the next day.
4. Each person who is named the Insider of the Day will receive one entry for our monthly grand prize to a maximum of one (1) entry per month. On the Monday closest to the beginning of each month at 8:10 a.m one winner will be randomly chosen from all the Insider of the Day names from that month.  The selected entrant will win the monthly Grand Prize. The monthly Insider of the Day winner will be contacted by News1130 within 24 hours of the random draw to confirm their address and proper spelling of their name..
5. Prior to being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be required to sign a waiver agreeing to all rules and regulations related to their prize and correctly answer the skill-testing question contained in the waiver
1. No purchase, expenditure or investment is necessary to enter this contest.
2. All prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged. Rogers reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize. Prizes must be picked up in person at 2440 Ash Street in Vancouver, BC.
3. By entering this contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, and city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers and/or its advertising agencies, without further compensation. Winners consent to their photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without further compensation. All entries become the property of Rogers.
4. This contest is open to residents of British Columbia 19 years of age and over except employees of Rogers, its parent and affiliate companies; its representatives and agents, and those with whom they are domiciled. The contest is subject to all applicable provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
5. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrants. To receive a copy of the contest rules or a list of the winners, send a postage paid, self-addressed envelope to 2440 Ash Street, Vancouver, BC, V5Z 4J6
6. Chances of winning the weekly prize depends on the number of entries received. The winner(s) may come from any geographic area, so long as they otherwise qualify to enter the contest.
7. All entries which are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Rogers. Rogers takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors.
8. All entries become property of Rogers who assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for failure of the Internet or Rogers network during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, cell sites, microwave dish, antenna, switch, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any communication or traffic congestion on the Rogers or other network, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's wireless device or personal computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading or sending any material in the promotion. Rogers reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the online or email portion of this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Rogers corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any equipment or system or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made,
9. Rogers is collecting personal data about entrants for the sole purpose of administering this Contest. No further informational or marketing communications will be received by the entrant unless the entrant provides Rogers with explicit permission to do so at the time of entry. 10. This contest will be run in accordance with these rules and the rules of the News1130  Insider Club, subject to amendment by Rogers. Entrants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate in the contest.
11. The terms of this contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein. Rogers reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
