"BORN TO DRIVE"
ROGERS BROADCASTING LIMITED
1. (a) “Contest Period” starts at 7:10am on February 25, 2010, up until 11:59pm on July 31, 2010, the “Contest Closing Date”. All times are Mountain Times.
There is two (2) ways to enter:
(i) visit www.rock105.3.ca and sign up for the Rock Army Club, by fully completing the sign up information and then redeem 250 points for an entry into the Contest, to be submitted by the Contest Closing Date, or if you are already a member of the Rock Army Club, log into your account and redeem 250 points by the Contest Closing Date or
(ii) Between March 15, 2010 and April 30, 2010 visit Jackson Dodge at 1500 Strachan Road, Medicine Hat, AB, T1B 4V2 and fill in a ballot in full (photocopies, facsimiles or other reproductions will not be eligible) and place in the ballot box.
(b) Each weekday from March 1st, 2010 till April 28th, 2010, during the Contest, random draws, by a Rogers Broadcasting Limited (“Rogers”) Rock 105.3 representative, will be made at approximately 7:20 am at #107-7 Strachan Bay SE, Medicine Hat, AB, Canada, T1B 4Y2, each a “Draw Date” from all completed entry forms received as of 11:59 pm each Draw Date. Non selected entries will be carried forward to the next Draw Date. One (1) entrant will be selected each Draw Date. Selected entrants will be contacted by telephone at the telephone number indicated on the selected entrant's entry member account/mail in entry. A total number of forty five (45) entrants will be selected through this entry method. Random draws by a Rogers representative will be made each Friday during the Contest Period, at the remote location as indicated above, at approximately noon, from all eligible entries received as of each Draw Date. A total number of seven (7) entrants will be selected through this entry method. These entrants will be deemed as (“Qualifiers”).
(c) If a selected entrant cannot be reached by April 30, 2010 or declines the prize, another entrant will be selected on April 30, 2010.
(d) In the event that a selected entrant incorrectly answers the skill testing question, another entrant will be selected on April 30, 2010.
(e) You may enter as many times as you like as long as you have enough points for each entry. Only one (1) Official Qualifier per household. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
2. No purchase, expenditure or investment is necessary to enter this Contest.
3. Participants will be eligible to win one (1) of fifty two (52) passes to attend the Grand Prize Draw at the Lava Lounge in the Medicine Hat Lodge on May 8, 2010, (“The Event”) for the Qualifier and a guest, at a time to be determined. Only the Qualifier will be entered into the draw at The Event.
Any Qualifier who cannot attend The Event must notify Contest Officials in advance in writing, with the name of the designated proxy (proxy must be over the age of majority) who will participate on their behalf. Failure to notify Contest Officials by the pre-determined time will result in disqualification from the Contest. Deadline for proxy notification is April 30, 2010.
The approximate number of Qualifiers participating at The Event is fifty five (55).
All Qualifiers must register at The Event by a time stated by Rogers. Qualifiers that fail to register by the allocated time will be disqualified and will not be admitted to The Event. All registered Qualifiers names will be placed into a ballot box.
At around 5:00pm to 6:00 pm a reverse draw from all the Qualifiers registered and in attendance at The Event, will be made by a Rogers representative The Event. The last name pulled out will the be Qualifier for the Grand Prize The Grand prize available to be won at The Event is your choice of one (1) of the seven (7) vehicles listed below and one (1) of the seven (7) prize packs listed below. The seven (7) available vehicles are:
#1 2010 Jeep Patriot 4x4; Deep Water Blue with A/C and Bucket Seats having an approximate retail value of $22,894 or;
#2 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4x4; Flame Red with A/C, V6, Off-Road Tires, having an approximate retail value of $23,800 or;
#3 2010 Dodge Caliber SXT; Sunburst Orange with Cruise, having an approximate retail value of $20,900 or;
#4 2010 Dodge Journey SE; Dark Slate Grey, having an approximate retail value of $21,500 or;
#5 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan; Dark Slade with V6 and A/C, having an approximate retail value of $28,900 or;
#6 2010 Dodge Avenger SXT; White Gold, Automatic, A/C, having an approximate retail value of $24,700 or;
#7 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 ST Quad Cab 4x4; Deep Blue Pearl color with V8 Hemi, 5 speed Automatic, A/C, Bench Seats, Class 4 hitch, having an approximate retail value of $35,900
The seven (7) available Prize Packs are:
#1 a $2000 Shopping Spree at Leon’s. Prize will be awarded as $2000 in gift certificates or;
#2 a $2000 Shopping Spree at the Medicine Hat Mall. Prize will be awarded as $2000 in gift certificates.or;
#3 a $2000 Shopping Spree at Sobeys. Prize will be awarded as $2000 in gift cards.or;
#4 $2000 Cash from Casino by Vanshaw. Prize will be awarded in a $2000 Cheque in the winner’s name or;
#5 $2000 in work and materials from Gyp-tec Drywall. Prize will be awarded as $2000 in Gift certificates or;
#6 $2000 to spend at Boston Billiards and Lounge. Prize will be awarded as $2000 in Gift certificates or;
#7 $2000 in gas from Max Power Speed Shop. Prize will be awarded as $2000 in Gift certificates
If the Qualifier or their designated proxy is not in attendance at The Event, or leaves The Event early, or cannot be located for any reason whatsoever, when their name is called, or declines the prize, incorrectly answers the skill testing question, another Qualifier will be selected at The Event by a random draw of all other Qualifiers registered and in attendance at The Event.
Winner or if winner does not have the appropriate valid driver’s license and evidence of insurance, winner’s agent with a valid driver’s license and insurance who accompanies the winner, will personally take delivery of the vehicle. The Grand Prize will not be released unless winner or winner’s designated agent first shows proof of having a valid driver’s license for Alberta, and winner has satisfactory insurance. The Grand Prize will not be released without the winner being present and adequately identified. WINNER IS SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TAXES AND EXPENSES WHICH ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRIZE DESCRIPTION ABOVE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TRANSFERS OR OWNERSHIP OF THE VEHICLE, REGISTRATION AND LICENSE FEES, INSURANCE, ADDITONAL ACESSORIES AND ALL OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN CLAIMING, REGISTERING THE VEHICLE.
4. All prizes must be accepted as awarded. Rogers reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal or greater value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize.
5. In order to win, selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill testing question, posed at The Event. Rogers’s judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the Contest and the awarding of prizes.
6. Entrant will be required to return a signed release and acknowledgment form before being declared a winner.
7. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, and city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers and its advertising agencies, without further compensation. Winner consents to their photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without further compensation. All entries become the property of Rogers.
8. This Contest is open to all valid members of Rock 105.3, who are over the age of 18, as of the date of entry, except employees of Rogers, its parent and affiliate companies; its representatives and agents, the Contest suppliers and those with whom they are domiciled. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
9. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant.
10. Chances of becoming a Qualifier depend upon the number of eligible entries received as of each Draw Date; the chances of winning the Grand Prize depend on the number of Qualifiers registered and in attendance at The Event. Rogers is unaware of how many entrants there may be. The winner may come from any geographic area, so long as they otherwise qualify to enter the Contest.
11. All entries which are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Rogers. Rogers takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors.
12. All entries become property of Rogers who assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for failure of the website during the Contest, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the Contest. Rogers reserve the right, in their sole discretion; to cancel or suspend the email portion of this Contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of Rogers corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Rogers reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
13. Rogers is collecting personal data about entrants for the sole purpose of administering this Contest. No further informational or marketing communications from will be received by entrants, unless entrants provide Rogers with explicit permission to do so as indicated on their entry form. 14. This Contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by Rogers. Entrants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate in the Contest.
15. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
[1] Household is defined as a separate, self contained residence which has a unique municipal address. Proof may be required to ensure compliance with this rule. Rogers in its sole discretion will determine whether a household meets this condition.
