Once signed up as THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB member you can earn Points by visiting the 96.9 Jack FM website, logging in to THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB and doing any of the following:

To become and remain a registered THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB member, you must have Internet access and a valid email account. 96.9 Jack FM is not responsible for a member's inability to: connect to the Internet, login to the THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB website, gain access to their THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB account or participate in any activity associated with this program, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB membership is free and no purchase is necessary.

2. Eligibility

Participation in THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB is open to all residents of Vancouver and counties within the radio broadcast signal area who are 19 years of age or older. Those specifically not eligible are full or part-time employees of 96.9 Jack FM or Rogers Broadcasting Ltd. (including former employees and their next of kin), other Vancouver radio station employees and their immediate families, M2O Media, and sponsors featured in the Program.

1. Participation is expressly limited to one account per person. Points are non-transferable and may not be earned in advance. All duplicate accounts or suspected duplicate accounts are subject to cancellation without notification by 96.9 Jack FM. Email addresses may not be shared between players; therefore, each account needs to have a unique, valid email address associated with it.
2. Accounts which have an excessive number of rejected emails may be automatically locked, preventing the player from accessing the THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB until they contact THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB Tech Support and provide an alternate email address. Repeated problems with email delivery to a player may result in permanent suspension of the member's account.
3. Members are not authorized to access any other members' accounts, including entering codes or redeeming THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB Points for prizes or awards, even if the other member is a family member. Members need to enter codes and play the various THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB games and surveys themselves to legally accumulate Points.
4. No machines, scripts or automated services may be used to access any part of the THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB website, accumulate any Points, bid on prizes and awards, or in any other way participate in this program. Over usage of THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB system resources is not permitted, and is grounds for account suspension or termination at the sole discretion of 96.9 Jack FM.
5. 96.9 Jack FM is NOT responsible for members missing out on Points due to, but not limited to, the following: forgotten username and/or password; problems, updates or maintenance which affects THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB at a particular time; Internet, browser, server, or computer problems in general; lost codes or coupons; forgotten, incorrectly entered or misspelled codes, etc.
6. Any Points redemption suspected to be an inauthentic copy, or which is made in such a fashion as to not deduct the appropriate Points amounts, may be disqualified (not accepted), at the sole discretion of 96.9 Jack FM.
7. The authorized account holder or member is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible by assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.
8. 96.9 Jack FM reserves the right to disqualify any member from receiving a cash or prize award where 96.9 Jack FM, at its sole discretion, determines that the member has violated any of these rules, made any misrepresentation in connection with this program, or used any unintended/unannounced means to accumulate or redeem THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB Points.
9. Sharing of ... of the Day, Bonus Codes, or other THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB Points earning among members is expressly prohibited. Violations will result in the termination of all violating account(s) and/or forfeiture of all accumulated Points.
10. 96.9 Jack FM reserves the right to use any listener feedback in any way they choose.

3. Prize Awards

Each item on the Prize Pig Store or Prize Pig Contests, pages will be assigned a Point value. Members may redeem accumulated THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB Points for free prizes and awards.

1. All prizes must be picked up at the office of 96.9 Jack FM located at JACK FM 2440 Ash St. Vancouver, BC V5Z 4J6 unless otherwise specified upon Point redemption.
2. Station hours are 9:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday (except holidays). When picking up your prize, you must provide a photo ID. In the case you are not able to pick up your prize you must send a letter of release with the designated person with a copy of your ID. Prizes must be picked-up within 30 business days of purchase - unless otherwise specified. Prizes not picked up within 30 business days from the date of purchase will be forfeited and Points will not be refunded.
3. Mailing options are at the sole discretion of 96.9 Jack FM and will only be considered in extreme circumstances, or will be based on the prize size, weight, timeliness, and value. Member is always responsible to keep his/her THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB account up-to-date with current information. If 96.9 Jack FM deems that an individual has extreme circumstances and a prize is mailed out, 96.9 Jack FM is not responsible if it is lost, stolen, misdirected, or damaged. The prize will not be replaced with future prizes nor will Points be refunded.
4. Prize winners are responsible for any and all expenses associated with their travel to and from 96.9 Jack FM offices or other any location(s) associated with claiming a prize or award.
5. THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB Points will not be credited or refunded for any reward, item or certificate which a Member claims but does not subsequently use.
6. Member agrees to provide only true and accurate information to the THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB at all times. In conjunction with claiming any item associated with the THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB or spending any Points for items, Member agrees to verify that all information in their THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB account profile is up-to-date and accurate by providing a valid driver's license or state photo ID that substantially matches the information in their profile.
7. THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB Award items are not transferable. Awards may not be substituted for cash or any other items or merchandise.
8. All Award claims are subject to verification by 96.9 Jack FM management. All decisions made by 96.9 Jack FM management are final.
9. Prizes and awards will be awarded and distributed at the discretion of 96.9 Jack FM.

4. How to Redeem Points / Entries to Receive Prizes

A validated THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB Member redeems THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB Points by clicking on the "Submit" button for Prize Pig Store or for Prize Pig Contest entries on the THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB website. In the event that another member is already in the process of redeeming that particular prize/item, the member who "first" clicked on "Submit" will receive the item/prize.

In order to receive a prize or reward, winning members must contact 96.9 Jack FM in accordance with instructions provided as part of this program, or provided online in connection with a specific offering, AND comply with the instructions provided by 96.9 Jack FM personnel for verification and deduction of Points balances.

Failure to comply with the instructions may result in disqualification, at the sole discretion of 96.9 Jack FM. Any member that has a "winning" bid, and then fails to demonstrate they have the needed Points in their account following an audit, will not be entitled to receive the award or prize and, at the discretion of 96.9 Jack FM, will have their Points balance forfeited.

Member Points totals are subject to adjustment, and member accounts are subject to suspension or cancellation, by 96.9 Jack FM for any activity which is in violation of any rules, or which is not in compliance with the intent of the program. 96.9 Jack FM shall be the sole determiner in cases of suspected abuse or violation of THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB rules, and any decision it makes relating to adjustment of Points or termination of membership shall be final and binding. Members will be notified of any such adjustments through a posting in the history log (viewable in the Transactions section of My Account in the THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB) or through an email sent to the email address in the member's account profile. Should the member disagree with any Points adjustment or account suspension, the sole remedy will be withdrawal from the program.

96.9 Jack FM makes no representations whatsoever regarding the value, if any, of Points earned as a result of participation. 96.9 Jack FM is under no obligation to provide members with any particular number of Points earning opportunities or rewards.

5. Conditions

The act of participation in THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB by Members, winners and qualifiers constitutes permission to the 96.9 Jack FM, sponsor, and its agencies to use the member's names and/or likenesses for the purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation.

1. Members may be required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of an item. Pursuant to the liability release, Member will agree to hold M2O Media, 96.9 Jack FM, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB.
2. 96.9 Jack FM, in it sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the 96.9 Jack FM websites, or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
3. 96.9 Jack FM reserves the right to make changes in the rules of THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB. Notice of any revisions will be posted to this page, so please revisit this page from time to time to ensure that you are aware of any changes to it. You are responsible for reviewing this Policy periodically, and your continued use of the THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB website(s) following any modifications to the rules will be conclusively deemed acceptance of any changes.
4. 96.9 Jack FM reserves the right to substitute an item of equivalent or greater value should an original item awarded to or purchased by a player become unavailable. Point values associated with any award can be changed or modified at any time. All Awards offered will show quantity available and will be redeemed on a first-come, first-served basis. 96.9 Jack FM reserves the right to limit the quantity a member can buy of any specific Award.
5. 96.9 Jack FM reserves the right to disqualify any member from receiving a cash or prize award, where 96.9 Jack FM, at its sole discretion, determines that the player has misrepresented or used unintended / unannounced means to accumulate Points or purchase prizes.
6. Members may be asked to supply personal information. This information will not be sold to outsiders, but the aggregate information (without identifying players as individuals) will be used for marketing purposes by 96.9 Jack FM and its affiliates.
7. 96.9 Jack FM reserves the right to discontinue, suspend or modify this Program at any time, including the termination of all opportunities to use or otherwise redeem accumulated THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB Points. From time to time 96.9 Jack FM may decrease or zero out the Points in all THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB accounts. At those times all accounts will either start at zero Points or be decreased by an amount or percentage to be determined by 96.9 Jack FM and all unused Points will no longer be valid. Members will be notified if and when the Points deduction will take place.
8. No purchase is necessary. THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB is void where prohibited.
9. Failure to comply with the THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB rules may result in a player's disqualification at the sole discretion of 96.9 Jack FM.
10. A written copy of the THE JACKAHOLICS CLUB rules is available during regular business hours at the 96.9 Jack FM offices or by sending a self-address stamped envelope to:

  CONTEST RULES
“JACK TRIPPER SHOWCASE”
1. (a) “Contest Period” starts at 12:01am on Monday August 31, 2009 up until 11:59 pm on Thursday, October 29, 2009 the “Contest Closing Date” to enter visit www.jackfm.com, and sign up as a JACKAHOLIC via link and fully complete the sign up information and redeem 500 JACK Points to participate in this Contest.  (If you are already a JACKAHOLIC, you do not have to sign up again).   All times are Pacific Standard Times.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter this Contest without redeeming 500 JACK Points, during the Contest Period, please hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, age, Contest name for which you are entering for a chance to win, and a hand written 100 word letter explaining why you would like to win a trip of your choice and mail it to 2440 Ash Street, Vancouver, BC  V5Z 4J6.  You will receive one (1) entry into the Contest during the entry period for which your request was postmarked and received, to be postmarked by the Contest Closing Date. Limit of one (1) mail-in request per postage stamped envelope per day.
(b) One (1) lucky entrant will be randomly drawn from all completed entries as of the Contest Closing Date on Friday, October 30, 2009 at approximately 7:15am  by a Rogers Broadcasting Limited (“Rogers”) JACK FM representative and he or she will receive their choice of one (1) of the following prizes with Sunquest:

(i)  Roundtrip airfare for four (4) passengers from Vancouver to Mazatlan, Mexico, with seven (7) nights accommodation for four (4) at the Riu Emerald Bay.  All meals, drinks, activities, entertainment and other inclusions as stated in the Sunquest brochure/website; return transfers between the hotel and airport; all hotel and airfare taxes, having an approximate retail value up to $12,000.

(vi) Roundtrip airfare for four (4) passengers from Vancouver to Jamaica, with seven (7) nights accommodation for four (4) at the Breezes Runway Bay.  All meals, drinks, activities, entertainment and other inclusions as stated in the Sunquest brochure/website; return transfers between the hotel and airport; all hotel and airfare taxes, having an approximate retail value of up to $12,000. 


(vii) Roundtrip airfare for four (4) passengers from Vancouver to Los Cabos, Mexico with seven (7) nights accommodation for four (4) at the Presidente InterContinental.  All meals, drinks, activities, entertainment and other inclusions as stated in the Sunquest brochure/website; return transfers between the hotel and airport; all hotel and airfare taxes, having an approximate retail value of up to $12,000. 


Travel is subject to space availability and is valid from November 1, 2009 to October 31, 2010 excluding but not limited to the following black out periods:  Christmas, New Year’s, Reading Week, Spring/March break, Easter Week.  Domestic connector airfare, transfers and/or overnight hotel accommodations in Canada are not included. Once the holiday is booked, no changes will be permitted.  All bookings are subject to 100% cancellation penalties. Expenses incurred for items of a personal nature, local excursions and any gratuities are the responsibility of the winners. Sunquest Vacations retains the right to substitute the components of the holiday package. Winner and travelling companions must travel together on the same itinerary, once the companions have been booked no changes will be permitted, the actual retail value of the prize depends upon the time of year of departure and the originating airport.  If the actual retail value is less than the amount stated above, the difference will be forfeited, no cash substitutions are allowed, if however the prize amounts to more than $12,000, any additional costs over and above this amount are the responsibility of the winner.
 

Travel Insurance including medical insurance is not included in the prize and is the sole responsibility of the winners. We recommend the purchase of medical, accident and baggage insurance. It is the responsibility of the prize winner and travelling companion to obtain and pay for the required identification documents (i.e. passports, visas) for their entry into the visiting country and re-entry into Canada prior to departure. Failing to provide the required documents may result in denied boarding by the air carrier/and or entry by immigration authorities to the visiting country or re-entry into Canada. Rogers Broadcasting Limited and Sunquest shall not assume responsibility for any refunds, loss or damage, cost or expenses arising out of the following: mechanical breakdown, government action, weather, strike , denial of access to the carrier due to contravention of the conditions of carriage, improper travel documentation , failure to clear customs or missed flights or connections.  Rogers Broadcasting Limited and Sunquest are not responsible in this respect and any unused portion of the trip prize will be forfeit. It is the prize winner’s responsibility to check with the airline for baggage restrictions.


(c) Selected entrant will be contacted by telephone or email at the telephone number or email address as indicated on their member account/mail in entry.  If a selected entrant cannot be reached by Monday, November 2, 2009 or declines the prize another entrant will be chosen to replace that entrant.


(d) In the event that a selected entrant incorrectly answers the skill testing question, no other name will be drawn.


(e) Entrants can enter as many times as they wish providing they redeem 750 JACK Points for each entry. If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant.  The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder.  A selected entrant may be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry.  All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Contest will be the Contest server machine(s).
(f)  The Grand Prize will not be released without the winner being present and adequately identified. 


2. (a) No purchase, expenditure or investment is necessary to enter this  Contest. 

3. Participants will be eligible for the prize package as outlined above.
4. All prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged. Rogers reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize.
5.  (a) In order to win, selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill testing question, posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time. 
 (b) Rogers judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the Contest and the awarding of prizes.
6. Selected entrant will be required to return a signed release and acknowledgment form before being declared a winner.
7. By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, address and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers and its advertising agencies, without further compensation.  Winner consents to their photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without further compensation.  All entries become the property of Rogers.
8. This Contest is open to residents of British Columbia, 19 years of age or older as of the date of entry, except employees of Rogers or Sunquest, its respective parent and affiliate companies; representatives and agents, the Contest suppliers and those with whom they are domiciled.  This Contest is subject to all applicable, federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
