Most people associate go-karting with family fun on your local go-kart track where you can show up hop in a "rental kart”  and have a blast going around the track.  Well there is another side to "go-karting" and that is "kartsport" or organized kart racing. These are high speed (up to 50 mph) professionally tuned European race karts (BIREL n35x) designed to offer the driver a sense of what a real race kart feels like for a fraction of the cost.

The "Getting Started Package" consists of the following;

To participate in the Real Racing Association competitors require a license (Licence Form).

We are limited in numbers and are issuing licenses on a first come first served basis. The $50.00 License fee includes:

• In-class orientation and training (approx. 1hr)
• On-track training (approx. 1.5 hrs.)
• 3 - 10 minute practice sessions
• Sudbury KartSport supplies: Professionally prepared Italian competition Kart, Snell 2000 Racing Helmet, Cordura Nylon Racing Jacket
• Customer supplies: Abrasion resistant gloves and shoes, competition rib protector (available at Sudbury Kartsport

July 4, 2008 was a landmark night at the DTE Energy Music Centre in the 41-year touring career of Detroit's own Ted Nugent, as he performed his 6,000th show to a raucous hometown crowd. For the 20,000+ that attended, this show was an affirmation that a Ted Nugent show is not just a show...it is a celebration.
