THE FAN Club

1. Participation

To participate in THE FAN Club visit http://www.SPORTSNET590.ca/ and sign up as a FAN Club member. Limit one user account per person. Once signed up as a FAN Club member you can earn FAN Points by visiting SPORTSNET 590 The FAN website, logging into THE FAN Club and doing any of the following:

1. Bonus Codes: Listen to SPORTSNET 590 The FAN for announcements throughout the day at various times. Unless otherwise announced, members must enter bonus codes before 11:59 pm the same day they are announced.

2. Play other games: At various times during the day, other FAN Club Codes, words, or names may be announced or posted on the site. These must also be entered on line before a designated time that will be posted on the site or announced on-air.

3. Listen to SPORTSNET 590 The FAN and log on to http://www.SPORTSNET590.ca/ for dates and locations of SPORTSNET 590 The FAN events where members can pick up FAN Club Bonus Codes.

4. FAN Club Points may also be earned in a variety of other ways, at the discretion of SPORTSNET 590 The FAN. Members can tune into SPORTSNET 590 The FAN for details on additional ways to accumulate FAN Points, or log onto THE FAN Club at http://www.SPORTSNET590.ca/. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN reserves the right to alter the ways of earning FAN Points at its discretion.

To become and remain a registered FAN Club member, you must have Internet access and a valid email account. SPORTSNET590 The FAN is not responsible for a member's inability to: connect to the internet, log into THE FAN Club website, gain access to their FAN Club account or participate in any activity associated with this program, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches. FAN Club membership is free and no purchase is necessary.

2. Eligibility

Participation in THE FAN Club is open to residents of Ontario, 18 years of age and older, who can receive SPORTSNET 590 The FAN (CJCL) through terrestrial radio at their place of residence.

Those specifically not eligible are full or part-time employees of SPORTSNET 590 The FAN or Rogers Broadcasting Ltd. (including former employees and their next of kin), other Toronto radio station employees and their immediate families, M2O Media, and sponsors featured in the Program.

1. Participation is expressly limited to one account per person. FAN Points are non-transferable and may not be earned in advance. All duplicate accounts or suspected duplicate accounts are subject to cancellation without notification by SPORTSNET 590 The FAN.

2. Email addresses may not be shared between players; therefore, each account needs to have a unique, valid email address associated with it.

3. Accounts which have an excessive number of rejected emails may be automatically locked, preventing the player from accessing THE FAN Club until they contact THE FAN Club Tech Support and provide an alternate email address. Repeated problems with email delivery to a player may result in permanent suspension of the member's account.

4. Members are not authorized to access any other member’s account, including entering codes or redeeming THE FAN Club FAN Points for prizes or awards, even if the other member is a family member. Members must enter codes and play the various FAN Club games and surveys themselves to legally accumulate FAN Points.

5. No machines, scripts or automated services may be used to access any part of THE FAN Club website, accumulate any FAN Points, bid on prizes and awards, or in any other way participate in this program. Over usage of THE FAN Club system resources is not permitted, and are grounds for account suspension or termination at the sole discretion of SPORTSNET 590 The FAN.

6. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN is not responsible for members missing out on FAN Points due to, but not limited to, the following: forgotten username and/or password; problems, updates or maintenance which affects THE FAN Club at a particular time; internet, browser, server, or computer problems in general; lost codes or coupons; forgotten, incorrectly entered or misspelled codes, etc.

7. Any FAN Points redemption suspected to be an inauthentic copy, or which is made in such a fashion as to not deduct the appropriate FAN Points amounts, may be disqualified (not accepted), at the sole discretion of SPORTSNET FAN 590 The FAN.

8. The authorized account holder or member is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible by assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.

9. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN reserves the right to disqualify any member from receiving a cash or prize award where SPORTSNET 590 The FAN, at its sole discretion, determines that the member has violated any of these rules, made any misrepresentation in connection with this program, or used any unintended/unannounced means to accumulate or redeem FAN Club FAN Points.

10. Sharing of Bonus Codes, or other means of earning FAN Points, among members is expressly prohibited. Violations will result in the termination of all violating account(s) and/or forfeiture of all accumulated FAN Points.

11. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN reserves the right to use any listener feedback in any way they choose.

3. Prize Awards

Each item on the Draws page will be assigned a FAN Point value. Members may redeem accumulated FAN Club FAN Points for ballots in a draw to win prizes and awards.

1. All prizes must be picked up at Rogers Plus, 333 Bloor Street E. (corner of Bloor and Ted Rogers Way) in Toronto unless otherwise specified by SPORTSNET 590 The FAN Promotions. Please wait until your win is confirmed by a member of the SPORTSNET 590 The FAN Promotions Department before picking up your item.  Rogers Plus hours are Monday – Friday 9:00am - 9:00pm, Saturday from 10:00am - 9:00pm, Sunday from 10:00am - 6:00pm and closed on all holidays.

2. If you win a prize valued at less than $250, you can not win again for another 30 days. If you win a prize valued at $250 or more, you can not win again for 6 months. If you win a trip that involves transportation and/or accommodations, you can not win again for 1 year. There can only be one (1) winning person per household per draw. “Household” includes every individual residing at the same municipal address.

3. When picking up your prize, you must provide a legal, valid government issued photo ID. The address on your ID must match that of your FAN Club membership. Prizes must be picked-up within 30 days of winning unless otherwise specified. Prizes not picked up within 30 days from the date of winning will be forfeited and FAN Points will not be refunded. Members are not permitted to send a third party on his/her behalf to claim prizing.

4. Member is always responsible to keep his/her FAN Club account up-to-date with current information. If SPORTSNET 590 The FAN deems that an individual has extreme circumstances and a prize is mailed out, SPORTSNET 590 The FAN is not responsible if it is lost, stolen, misdirected, or damaged. The prize will not be replaced with future prizes nor will FAN Points be refunded.

5. Prize winners are responsible for any and all expenses associated with their travel to and from Rogers Plus, SPORTSNET 590 The FAN offices or other any location(s) associated with claiming a prize or award.

6. FAN Club FAN Points will not be credited or refunded for any reward, item or certificate which a Member claims but does not subsequently use.

7. Member agrees to provide only true and accurate information to THE FAN Club at all times. In conjunction with claiming any item associated with THE FAN Club or spending any FAN Points for items, Member agrees to verify that all information in their FAN Club account profile is up-to-date and accurate by providing a valid driver's license or government issued photo ID that substantially matches the information in their profile.

8. FAN Club Award items are not transferable. Awards may not be substituted for cash or any other items or merchandise.

9. All Award claims are subject to verification by SPORTSNET 590 The FAN management. All decisions made by SPORTSNET 590 The FAN management are final.

10. Prizes and awards will be awarded and distributed at the discretion of SPORTSNET 590 The FAN.

11. By participating in THE FAN Club, each contest winner or qualifier consents to the use of his/her entry, name, address and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers Broadcasting Limited and/or its advertising agencies, without further compensation.  Winners consent to their photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without further compensation.  All entries become the property of Rogers.

4. How to Redeem FAN Points / Entries to Receive Prizes

A validated FAN Club Member redeems FAN Club FAN Points by clicking on the "Submit" button for Draw entries on THE FAN Club website.

In order to receive a prize or reward, winning members must contact SPORTSNET 590 The FAN in accordance with instructions provided as part of this program, or provided online in connection with a specific offering, AND comply with the instructions provided by SPORTSNET 590 The FAN personnel for verification and deduction of FAN Points balances. Failure to comply with the instructions may result in disqualification, at the sole discretion of SPORTSNET 590 The FAN.

Member FAN Point totals are subject to adjustment, and member accounts are subject to suspension or cancellation, by SPORTSNET 590 The FAN for any activity which is in violation of any rules, or which is not in compliance with the intent of the program. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN shall be the sole determiner in cases of suspected abuse or violation of FAN Club rules, and any decision it makes relating to adjustment of FAN Points or termination of membership shall be final and binding. Members will be notified of any such adjustments through a posting in the history log (viewable in the Transactions section of My Account in THE FAN Club) or through an email sent to the email address in the member's account profile.  Should the member disagree with any FAN Points adjustment or account suspension, the decision of SPORTSNET 590 The FAN is final and the remedy may involve Member withdrawal from the program.

SPORTSNET 590 The FAN makes no representations whatsoever regarding the value, if any, of FAN Points earned as a result of participation. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN is under no obligation to provide members with any particular number of FAN Points earning opportunities or rewards.

5. Conditions

1. Members are required to sign a liability release prior to acceptance of a cash or prize award.  Pursuant to the liability release, Member will agree to hold M2O Media, SPORTSNET 590 The FAN, affiliated companies and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in THE FAN Club.

2. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of SPORTSNET 590 The FAN websites, or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify THE FAN Club if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.

3. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN reserves the right to make changes in the rules of THE FAN Club. Notice of any revisions will be posted to this page, so please revisit this page from time to time to ensure that you are aware of any changes to it. You are responsible for reviewing this Policy periodically, and your continued use of THE FAN Club website(s) following any modifications to the rules will be conclusively deemed acceptance of any changes.

4. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN reserves the right to substitute an item of equivalent or greater value should an original item awarded to a player become unavailable.

5. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN reserves the right to disqualify any member from receiving a cash or prize award, where SPORTSNET 590 The FAN, at its sole discretion, determines that the player has misrepresented or used unintended / unannounced means to accumulate FAN Points or purchase prizes.

6. Members may be asked to supply personal information. This information will not be sold to outsiders, but the aggregate information (without identifying players as individuals) will be used for marketing purposes by SPORTSNET 590 The FAN and its affiliates in accordance with the Privacy Policy available at http://www.rogers.com/.

7. SPORTSNET 590 The FAN reserves the right to discontinue, suspend or modify this Program at any time, including the termination of all opportunities to use or otherwise redeem accumulated FAN Club FAN Points. From time to time SPORTSNET 590 The FAN may decrease or zero out FAN Points in all THE FAN Club accounts. At those times all accounts will either start at zero FAN Points or be decreased by an amount or percentage to be determined by SPORTSNET 590 The FAN and all unused FAN Points will no longer be valid. Members will be notified if and when FAN Point deduction will take place.

8. No purchase is necessary. THE FAN Club is void where prohibited.

9. Failure to comply with FAN Club rules may result in a player's disqualification at the sole discretion of SPORTSNET 590 The FAN.

10. A written copy of THE FAN Club rules is available during regular business hours at SPORTSNET 590 The FAN offices or by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to: THE FAN Club, One Ted Rogers Way, Toronto, Ontario, M4Y 3B7.

11. In the event of any inconsistencies between these FAN CLUB rules and the rules of specific FAN CLUB Contests, the terms in the specific FAN CLUB Contest rules will govern.

[1] Household is defined as a separate, self contained residence which has a unique municipal address.  Proof may be required to ensure compliance with this rule.  Contest Sponsor in its sole discretion will determine whether a household meets this condition.
