On April 2 & 3 (9am - 4pm) The Calgary Zoo is hosting Easter Eggstravaganza! Platinum VIPs have the chance to purchase a family four pack of day passes to the Calgary Zoo for this great event!

Hop on down to the Calgary Zoo for an egg-stra special Easter including a Cadbury Scavenger hunt! Search the zoo for clues and find that Cadbury treat! (Please note all treats must be given to parents, not children). Kids can play Easter themed games or visit the Calgary Co-op Cookie Coop for a specially designed cookie just for them. Billy Twinkle is a middle-aged cruise ship puppeteer who dazzles audiences with his Stars in Miniature marionette niteclub act.  His saucy burlesque stripper Rusty titillates the tourists, octogenarian Bunny invokes sidesplitting laughter with the inflatable balloon in his pants, Bumblebear juggles and roller-skates and steals the hearts of every audience, and society dame Biddy Bantam Brewster brings a bit of highbrow hilarity to the high seas with her drunken aria.  Billy is the best in the business and on top of the world as he floats along through life.

Until he is fired by the cruiseline.  Standing at the edge of the ship contemplating a watery demise, Billy is abruptly called back to reality when his dead mentor Sid Diamond appears as a hand puppet.  Sid literally will not leave his side, and forces Billy to re-enact his life as a puppet show in order to remember and rekindle the passion Billy once had for puppets, people and the dream of a life that sparkles.

A Shine of Rainbows is based on the book by Lillian Beckwith and the film is a Canada-Ireland Co-production. 

The gorgeous Irish coast serves as a backdrop to Vic Sarin’s enchanting story about the transformational power of love and the magical possibilities of life.  Tomas (John Bell) is a shy, frail eight-year-old boy who has been living a solitary life in a drab orphanage – friendless and alone. Then, one day, a colourful and kind woman named Maire O'Donnell (Connie Nielsen) sweeps in and infuses his once-cheerless existence with love, laughter and the belief in magic. After being whisked back to enchanted Corrie Island off the West Coast, Tomas grows and comes into his own under Maire's care and understanding--but her reserved husband Alec, (Aidan Quinn) can't hide his disappointment with the boy.

A Shine of Rainbows opens in theatres on April 9th.

Roger Greenberg [Ben Stiller], single, fortyish and at a crossroads in his life, finds himself in Los Angeles, house-sitting for six weeks for his more successful/married-with-children brother. In search of a place to restart his life, Greenberg tries to reconnect with old friends including his former bandmate Ivan [Rhys Ifans]. But old friends aren’t necessarily still best friends, and Greenberg soon finds himself spending more and more time with his brother’s personal assistant Florence [Greta Gerwig], an aspiring singer and also something of a lost soul. Despite his best attempts not to be drawn in, Greenberg and Florence manage to forge a connection, and Greenberg realizes he may at last have found a reason to be happy
