Weather Guarantee
How it works
Every morning at 6:21 a.m. (EDT), 680News will announce the guaranteed high temperature for that day. If the daily high, as registered at Toronto Pearson International Airport from Environment Canada’s daily weather web page, is off by more than three degrees Celsius, (using whole numbers only, with no fractions) 680News will be deemed not to have made its guarantee and an entrant's name will be drawn. Each weekday at 6:22 a.m. (EDT), 680News will announce whether it made its guarantee the previous day. If the actual temperature reached the previous day (Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's temperature will be announced on Mondays) was off by more than three degrees Celsius, using whole number sonly (with no fractions) 680News will select, at random, an entrant from those submitted, and that entrant will be eligible to receive that day's jackpot. Each jackpot will start at one thousand dollars ($1,000) and will increase by one hundred dollars ($100) each day that 680News meets its weather guarantee. The selected entrant's name will be repeated at 7:22 a.m (EDT).

How to enter
Redeem your credits to earn a ballot in the Weather Guarantee Contest. For each entry you will have to redeem 68 Credits. Simply click "purchase entry" and you will be automatically entered for the duration of the existing jackpot or mail in your entry on a postcard to: 680News Weather Guarantee, 777 Jarvis Street, Toronto, Ontario, M4Y 3B7. The odds of being selected are dependant upon by the number of registrants, and the weather for that day. All entries which are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by 680News. 680News takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors.
Once the jackpot has been awarded, all entries will be deleted from the database and you must start redeeming entries again or send in your mail-in entry.
Eligibility
This Contest is open to all residents of Ontario who are 19 years of age or older with the exception of the following groups: All employees of Rogers Communications Inc. along with their immediate families, relatives and anyone sharing living space with people in this group. Prior to being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be required to sign a waiver agreeing to all rules and regulations related to their prize and correctly answer the skill-testing question contained in the waiver.
Notification
Selected entrant will be notified by 680News staff by telephone. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within 5 business days, another entrant will be drawn. If the selected entrant does not correctly answer the skill-testing question or does not accept the prize as awarded, another entrant will be drawn. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant.
By entering the 680News Weather Guarantee Contest, each entrant agrees to, and is deemed to have accepted all of the terms, conditions, rules and regulations contained herewith. Winning entrants consent to the use of their name, city of residence, photograph and audio recording for publicity purposes in all media by 680News. All entries remain the property of Rogers. Judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters.
Entries
All entries become property of 680News who assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged or misdirected entries or for failure of the website during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the Contest. 680News reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the on-line portion of this contest should a virus, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of 680News corrupt the security or proper administration of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, 680News reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

Contest Dates
The "680News Weather Guarantee" Contest will continue indefinitely. The station will announce the close of the Contest two weeks prior to its conclusion.
This contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by Rogers. The terms of this contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
