FAQs

How do I earn points with the 680News Insider Club?

You can earn points by entering bonus codes when you sign into your 680News Insider Club account. You can find Insider Club bonus codes in our weekly newsletter, by visiting select partner websites, and by finding Mike Flash, our roving web reporter on 680news.com. Click on Mike and he'll send to you a different page on the 680News website where he'll have his daily bonus code you can enter in the 680News Insider Club. You can also earn credits by participating in our Questionnaires and Weekly Insider Club Polls. For complete details on our contests, visit http://www.680news.com/contests-insider-club

Why does it say invalid when I enter the correct Mike Flash Code?

Be sure to enter the code before its expiry date exactly as it appears with no extra spaces or punctuation.  Copy and pasting the code from 680news.com may result in extra spaces.

Why have all of my entries in the Weather Guarantee disappeared?

If your entries are now shown as zero, this means the Weather Guarantee Jackpot has been won. The winner’s name will be announced the day of at 6:22 a.m. and once again at 7:22 a.m. The winner’s name will also appear on the login and logout page of the Insider Club page.

How do I find out the current value of the Weather Guarantee Jackpot?

On the homepage of 680news.com click on the Weather tab on the Traffic and Weather Box on the right side of the page and it will show you the Weather Guarantee jackpot and the Guarantee high for the day. The Weather Guarantee jackpot will also be on the login page of the 680News Insider Club under the message board. Each jackpot will start at one thousand dollars ($1,000) and will increase by one hundred dollars ($100) each day that 680News meets its weather guarantee.

Why does my account status say "pending"?

After you register, your account status will remain "pending" until your email address is verified. Your email address is verified and your account validated once you click on the link in the email you receive from us. (This email will come from cftr@m2omedia.com.) You can still earn Credits while you are waiting for your account to be validated. You will not, however, be able to claim any prizes or purchase raffle entries until your account status is valid.
